Inspired by the rolling hills of the Palouse, this one-of-a-kind wheel-thrown stoneware mug features a hand-painted landscape that wraps around the cup. Rolling fields, scattered trees, winding waterways, and rising suns shift as you turn the mug, giving each side its own little view of the landscape.
 
A softly speckled blue-gray glaze covers the rim, handle, and interior, while the exposed stoneware provides a warm background for the earthy greens, browns, blues, and golden tones of the illustration. The variation in the glaze makes the surface feel almost atmospheric.
