The Gertie Mug was created in memory of Gertie, a much-loved tabby whose curiosity and personality made her an unforgettable part of the family. The black-and-white illustration features a sweet tabby surrounded by folk-inspired flowers, looking up at a butterfly—a small celebration of curiosity, joy, and the creatures that make our lives better simply by being part of them.
 
This wheel-thrown stoneware mug is finished in a soft, warm pink glaze inspired by Gertie's signature color. The glaze covers the interior, handle, and most of the exterior, while a creamy white window highlights the detailed illustration.
 
And because Gertie would have been very interested in that butterfly, the image has a lovely little piece of her actual personality in it.
